Better Roads, Better Spaces,

Better Woodstock!

I respect anyone who steps forward to serve—that’s what makes our community strong. But experience matters. I’ve been at the table making decisions, managing growth, and delivering real results—better roads, better spaces, and a stronger Woodstock. This isn’t a learning role—it takes proven leadership to keep our city moving forward.

About Jerry

Join Me in Building Woodstock's Future.

The City of Woodstock is at a crossroads. Woodstock needs stability, consistency and leadership as we continue to grow – welcoming new families and continuing to support those that have lived here for decades.

As a long-time resident, two-term Councillor and now the very proud current Mayor of Woodstock, I want to continue the Provincially mandated growth in a responsible way. I have shown my long-term dedication to the community in many different avenues such as Woodstock Lions Club (28 years), Honorary Member of the Woodstock-Oxford Rotary Club, OPP Auxiliary Unit Commander/Staff Sergeant (retired, 13.5 years), Parade Marshall for City Parades (after 37 parades in 18 years) and more! I’m an advocate for this City and always look for an avenue to share what our great city has to offer.

I’ve never seen myself as a one-term Mayor. I believe for the growth of this City, consistency is needed to be an effective leader for Woodstonians for the years to come.

I hope that you will review my priorities, learn about me and watch as my campaign progresses until election day. Of course, don’t forget — if you have questions, reach out. If you see me in the community, don’t be afraid to come up and introduce yourself.

Biggest Accomplishment

Creation of the Mayor's Social Well-Being Task Force

One of my first priorities as Mayor was creating a dedicated Task Force to tackle the complex social challenges facing our community head-on — collaboratively, quickly, and with real impact.

The Mayor’s Social Well-Being Task Force was established in 2023, bringing together Woodstock City Council, City staff, Oxford County staff, and community agencies to work toward meaningful solutions in three priority areas:

  • Housing & Homelessness — coordinating encampment responses, funding community organizations like Operation Sharing, and collaborating with the Oxford Ontario Health Team toward the successful provincial approval of a HART Hub and the newly announced homelessness support centre in Woodstock.
  • Food Insecurity — partnering with local agencies to ensure Woodstock residents have access to the food supports they need and the newly announced Food Rescue Hub.
  • Youth Well-Being — investing in programs and partnerships that support the mental health, safety, and futures of our young people.

This is exactly the kind of proactive, community-driven leadership I believe in. Learn more at the Mayor’s Social Well-Being Task Force page.

Platform & My Priorties

Woodstock is growing — and that growth must be guided with purpose, responsibility, and a clear vision that protects our quality of life for residents today and for generations to come. These are the commitments I am making to you as your Mayor for the years ahead.

Stability, Consistency
& Leadership

Woodstock deserves a Mayor who shows up — not just at Council, but in the community, at local events, and at the table when it matters most. Since being elected in 2014, I have built a track record of reliable, engaged, and accountable leadership that Woodstonians can count on.

Affordable Housing
& Homelessness

Every Woodstonian deserves a safe and affordable place to call home. I have been a vocal advocate at the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels to ensure Woodstock receives its fair share of funding — and I will continue to push until that becomes a reality for every resident.

Small Businesses
& Our Downtown

A thriving downtown is the heartbeat of our city. I am committed to investing in a downtown core that is welcoming, accessible, and safe — a place where small businesses can grow and every Woodstonian feels proud to spend time.

Investment in
Woodstock

Woodstock is open for business — and I intend to keep it that way. Attracting new employers, supporting local businesses, and building the infrastructure our growing city needs are central to keeping Woodstock an exceptional place to live and work.

Youth, Cultural & Generational
Spaces

As Woodstock grows, so does our responsibility to invest in the spaces where all our families, youth, and seniors come together. I am committed to ensuring Woodstock has the cultural and recreational facilities our community deserves — now and for the generations ahead.
